The IBM Institute for Business Value (IBV) conducted a comprehensive survey involving 5,000 technology leaders in the C-suite, including Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) and Chief Information Officers (CIOs). In addition to the survey, a specific subset of executives participated in in-depth qualitative interviews. This research represents our inaugural and substantial examination of the changing influence and responsibilities inherent in the role of Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) digitally and overall.
