STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

Overview

  • Strategic Management program with IIM Rohtak and objective of this course is to teach participants as to how they can manage businesses and projects proactively with a focus on long-term strategy, rather than reacting to day-to-day hiccups.
  • The Strategic Management Program will:
  • Enable participants to understand the strategic management process and the impact of the changing business environment and globalization on it; Provide participants an exposure to the fundamental principles and tools of Strategic Management Provide an opportunity to participants to analyze the experiences of companies in strategy making and implementation Enable participants to understand leadership competencies, change management and team management, effectively using tools and processes.

Objectives

  • Developing a strategic thinking mode – understanding how power is wielded and negotiated in multiple contexts, especially amidst great ‘complexity’ and institutional transformations
  • Understanding strategic landscapes of industries, including the interface with law and regulation, and institutional variation across nations
  • Understanding sustainability, resource conflicts and its relation to strategy
  • Discerning the strategic significance of few contemporary developments such as outsourced models of business, vigorous use of informatics, delayering of organizations, modularization of product systems and soon
  • Strategizing in a network mode – competition and cooperation; especially appreciating role of shared assets
  • Economics of strategy moves, especially under decreasing and increasing returns
  • Managing multi-stakeholder interests and institutional frameworks thereof, especially of work-force/skill-holders and communities with various resource rights
  • Successful candidates will be awarded with a Certificate of successful completion​

Who May Attend / Eligibility

  • Working professionals/self-employed (Graduates) with minimum work experience of 4 years may apply
  • Selections will be based on evaluation of individual profile & statement of purpose (SOP)

Assessment

  • Evaluation will be conducted by IIM Rohtak. Successful candidates will be awarded with a Certificate of successful completion and would be granted IIM Rohtak.

Pedagogy

  • The teaching approach will be highly interactive using the technological capabilities of the channel. The pedagogy followed for the programme will consist of a blend of lectures, case studies, online lectures, projects, peer to peer learning, self-learning, role play and simulations. Mentoring by faculty and access to learning resources of IIM Rohtak will also be made available. There will be 3 campus sessions of 4 days each at IIM Rohtak. Jaro Education will ensure uninterrupted technical support in conducting online classes, attendance, quizzes, etc.

The cost of in-campus charges @ Rs. 3500 + Tax (per day) Directly payable to IIM Rohtak
  • The student fee includes all the course material which is books, simulations, case studies, and certification.
  • Fee once paid is neither refundable nor transferable towards any other student/program/batch.
  • GST will be charged at prevailing rates (currently @18%).
  • Any extra payment due to any change in any of the applicable taxes during the tenure of the program will have to be borne by the student.

  • Orientation & Briefing by Jaro : April 1st Week
  • In-campus Modules : 2 Campus emersions 4 days each; each at the beginning and culmination of the course
  • Class Schedule: Saturdays : 15:00 to 18:00; 2 Sessions – 75 minutes each
